The ‘Lingnan Harmony: Guangdong Music, Cantonese and Nanyin’, presented by the Chinese Culture Promotion Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, in collaboration with the One Table Two Chairs Charitable Foundation, guides students and teachers to a mesmerising musical journey with Nanyin maestro, Professor Yuen Siu-fai and a group of Chinese music maestros. The programme is delivered with an engaging and lively interactive approach, personally teaching and performing the melodious Nanyin and Cantonese music, which leads teachers and students to recognize Nanyin as an intangible cultural heritage of traditional Chinese music, explores the tight connection between Lingnan culture and modern life, and together experience the vitality and charm of Lingnan culture!

  • Successful applicants will receive email notification within 4 weeks after submitting application.
  • Due to limited slots, each school may only submit one application form. Duplicate submissions, incomplete information, or information that cannot be identified will not be processed.
  • Tables, chairs, audio equipment such as wireless microphones, microphone stands, speakers, projector(s) and screen(s), and music stands are required. If schools cannot provide some of the equipment, One Table Two Chairs Charitable Foundation will appropriate arrangements.
  • It takes about 40 minutes to prepare before the activity and about 30 minutes to dismantle the materials afterwards.
