This lecture will focus on the Hot Spring Imperial Residence, a distinctive and legendary imperial residence. Where was it located? How about its history, architecture and interior features? What did emperors do while they stayed in the residence? Did any historical events happen in there? How did officials manage the residence and what happened to the residence afterwards? Let’s explore the secrets, historical and cultural connotations of the Hot Spring Imperial Residence!
